To make an already long story short, on the left side you'll find some ideas and preliminary layouts of a typical front panel (Oakley VCO) in the chosen format.
The parade starts with Tony Allgood's smooth design for his VCO and ends up in some rather weird layouts that brake virtually every rule.

Here is a scan of an actual test panel I did based on an existing MOTM-410 module.
